I read this book in a day pretty much. It sucked me in and had me wondering what would happen next in the story. I do read YA/NA books on a fairly regular basis, though they aren't typically geared towards my age. I still enjoy them a great deal. This one sucks you in and takes you back to high school, good or bad you are there remembering what is was like being popular, what is was like being unpopular, just what it was like in general.

You first meet Peyton Lane, a junior in high school when she isn't at her best. She struggles with not fitting in, being overweight, being unpopular, thinking her sister doesn't like her, body image issues, and various other issues you expect to find in high school. She has her first kiss, has her first love, and many other firsts for her. The story follows her through situations that seem to keep dragging her down and she just keeps trying to get ahead and rise to the occasion. She will find her voice within the story and you see her transformation though some insecurities are still there.

There are several love interests and at times you begin to wonder when is enough enough? There is Colton the lead guitarist of a band Peyton loves. Jace & Jax the twins, she has lusted after Jax all her life and Jace is his twin and new in town. I don't want to give too much away so you just have to read to see what happens.

It is well worth the read and there is some suspense involved that keeps you reading.
