Review-Review on Karen and Brett on 326 Harpers Cove

A new series from the author of the Love Under Construction series!

Come and visit the neighbors of Harper's Cove. Every couple on the street is pretty sure they're the only ones doing something as kinky as they're doing, but the joke's on them!

Karen and Brett at 326 Harper's Cove kicks off the series. They seem like your average neighbors, but Karen and Brett have a secret - well, they have twelve of them. And every Saturday night their secrets converge for the biggest, most adventurous party on the block. They've been holding their weekly "parties" every week for years, and they're not inclined to stop because of one snoopy neighbor. Sometimes they even carry part of the party over into the late night and next morning. They're doing a very good job of keeping everything on the down-low too. Or so they think.

But Gloria is sure they're up to something; matter of fact, Gloria's sure EVERYONE in the neighborhood is up to something, and she's certain that it's no good. She pokes, prods, and prowls to try to figure out what her neighbors are hiding. She's quick to corner them at the mailbox and question them, sometimes even trying to invite herself to their homes. They're all on to her, and they're doing their best to stay away from her and keep her out of the business. They get a little additional help from her long-suffering husband, Russell, who thinks she's either making things up or imagining them. After all, between the "cough syrup" every morning, her Bloody Mary lunch, her happy hour stress-reliever, and her evening mixer, not to mention her "in-between meal snacks," Gloria's prone to making up and seeing things that aren't there anyway. Even Russell's threats of returning her to rehab don't stop Gloria from sneaking around, peeking into windows, and generally being the nosy busybody of the neighborhood.

Wouldn't Gloria be surprised if she realized that those gallon bottles she saw them carrying in were full of lube, not liquor?

Written from first-person perspective of two of the characters, the Harper's Cove series novellas are quick, fun, steamy reads. They'll tickle your funny bone AND put a sizzle in your shorts! At 20K-25K words, they're perfect for a lazy afternoon's entertainment or a quick bedtime jolt to the libido. The books are not dependent on each other and can be read in any order. At their completion, the series will be at least six books (maybe even more!) and each will be just as hot and hilarious.

Visit Harper's Cove and get into the lives of the kinkiest neighborhood in town. They're up to things that your neighbors would never do.

Or would they?

For a short read this book was awesome! Sucked me in from page one until the very end.
Karen and Brett hold "parties" at their house every weekend. Karen and Brett are swingers and have a group of people who share the same interest. These people are not just having sex with eachother but you can feel that they actually have feelings for every one of the couples in this group. Very close knit group that if someone is having a hard time, the rest of them make sure to help the one having trouble. They seem more like family then just people after a good time.
I love Gloria! The nosey neighbor that is determined to find out what exactly is going on at Brett and Karen's house every weekend. She drinks a little too much but she always has an excuse why she needs a drink. She is waiting right there when Karen is out on her porch to ask question about the parties Karen has every weekend. Gloria so wants an invite to one of these parties but you really need to be careful what you wish for because sometimes wishes come true.
I love everything about this book and can't wait to read the rest of the series. This book has very HOT sex with people who seem down to earth but just have different tastes than everybody else does but everyone needs friends like these couples in this book. Can't wait to find out more about everyone.

Review-If I Were You by Lisa Renee Jones

The steamy first installment in the Inside Out erotic romance series by Lisa Renee Jones, in the bestselling tradition of Fifty Shades of Grey
When Sara McMillan finds a stack of journals in a storage unit, she's shocked and enthralled by the erotic life the writer led. Unable to stop reading, she vicariously lives out dark fantasies through Rebecca, the writer--until the terrifying final entry.

Certain something sinister has happened, Sara sets out to discover the facts, immersing herself in Rebecca's life. Soon she's working at the art gallery Rebecca worked at and meeting Rebecca's friends. Finding herself drawn to two dangerously sexy men, the manager of the gallery and a famed artist, Sara realizes she's going down the same path Rebecca took. But with the promise of her dark needs being met by a man with confident good looks and a desire for control, she's not sure anything else matters. Just the burn for more.

New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author Lisa Renee Jones is the author of the highly acclaimed INSIDE OUT SERIES,and has now in development for a cable television show, to be produced by Suzanne Todd (Alice in Wonderland). In addition, her Tall, Dark and Deadly series and The Secret Life of Amy Bensen series, both spent several months on a combination of the NY Times and USA Today and USA Today lists.

Since beginning her publishing career in 2007, Lisa has published more than 40 books translated around the world. Booklist says that Jones suspense truly sizzles with an energy similar to FBI tales with a paranormal twist by Julie Garwood or Suzanne Brockmann.

Prior to publishing, Lisa owned multi-state staffing agency that was recognized many times by The Austin Business Journal and also praised by Dallas Women Magazine. In 1998 LRJ was listed as the #7 growing women owned business in Entrepreneur Magazine.

This is a wonderful story that is hard to put down. The plot has some wonderful twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat.  I enjoyed how well the characters fit into the story. The story is about Sarah who is a school teacher starts reading a journal her friend leaves by mistake at her house. It leads her to try to find the author of the journals. This leads to mystery, suspense and great hot, steamy sex! The ending did leave us with a cliff hanger but I can't wait to read the next book to find out what happens.

Review-Trust by Terry Towers

When I close my eyes and manage to block out the horrors going on around me and ignore the aches and pain in virtually every inch of my body, I can still hear the cheers of the audience as I'm lifted into the air by my teammates. For those few brief moments as I remember toppling from the top of the pyramid I feel like I'm flying, I'm free and nothing can hurt me.

But, I was wrong...

How long would it take before they stopped missing me; stopped looking; before I was forgotten about completely? A month? Six months? A year? I'm no longer a person. I'm a commodity.

Lance
I have a plan, years in the making. It's perfect - foolproof. All I need is to keep myself focused on the big picture - my ultimate goal. But then she arrived...

She tests my patience and my will. She angers and frustrates me, making the darkness within scream to be released. I want to ignore her, but I can't. I need to let her go, but can't seem to allow her to be sent away.

She's going to ruin everything...

Terry Towers is a NY Times and USA Today bestselling author, with her books translated into six languages. The Moan for Uncle Series, The Sibling Rivalry Series, The Girl From The Coffee Shop series and over a dozen other titles have all graced the erotica and romance bestsellers charts.

When I write my books I want them to be hot enough to get my readers juices flowing, but at the same time have enough of a plot that my readers identify with the characters. I strive to make the readers of my books want, need and crave the characters to hook up.

I hope you have as much fun reading the hot, kinky and sometimes raunchy activities of the heroes & heroines within my books as much as I enjoyed writing them for you.

Hot erotic wishes to you my loyal readers,

Terry

This is the first book by Terry Towers that I have read. The only thing I knew was that this was a dark romance. I was intrigued, this is a genre I have come to like. I was not prepared for how great this book was! I loved the black and white of life becoming a whole lot of grey. The fact that none of us know how we would react if our own lives were flipped upside down in a nano second. This book makes you constantly think about some hard questions. It does not let up for a second, and that is what makes this such a great read. Of course, books like this are not for everyone. Its subject matter can be too much for some, but I loved it.
When the story opens, Gwen is at the top of her high school fame, captain of the cheerleaders, dating the top jock, looking forward to going to Stanford in the fall. She is saving herself for after graduation, but she is thinking it is more because she is not in love. Its late, but she decides to walk home from her boyfriends house. In a flash, the life she knew is over. Abducted from the road, she is thrown into a world she has studied, but never imagined she would enter. No longer Gwen, her new name is slave 342. She has awoken to a hell she is not prepared for. Being "trained" to be sold into the slave world, her cell is just the beginning of her fear. She doesn't know if she is going to be killed out right for something like the Asian girl, or be raped repeatedly in the name of training. When she survives her first introduction to the Boss, although not without marks, she really gets how bad it can be. When the Boss's son, Lance, takes on her training, she thinks she may be losing it, seeing as how she is drawn to him.
Lance grew up thinking his father loved him. He thought his dad loved his mom as well. When that turned out to not be the truth, he decided to fix that situation. Slowly getting more and more involved in the business, he started making plans. Little did he know that a beautiful blonde was going to turn his world on its head.
Has everything good in him been killed by what he has had to do? Can Gwen survive being sold? How about all the other girls being held? What could you do to survive? Can anything good come from such evil places? Will either of them ever be free again? What will Gwen do to help all of those girls? Could a good person kill another human being? How in the world can anyone this evil have any good left?
There are so many great questions that come up in this book and they are all answered. This book is an incredible look at things we don't want to look to closely at and it does not disappoint in exploring all of it. This is one of the best dark romances I have read, and I look forward to reading more from this wonderful author. If you like your books on the dark side, grab this one. You won't be disappointed.

But with Ursula’s old fashioned Chinese parents arriving in town for the traditional wedding, chaos soon breaks out—with Oliver always one step away from accidentally revealing to his soon-to-be in-laws that he and his extended Scanguards family are vampires.

And midst all the chaos and confusion, a stalker lurks and threatens to tear Ursula and Oliver apart before they can blood-bond.

I had not read any of the 1001 Dark Nights books, but when it was a part of the Scanguards world? I had to get my hands on it. I loved Oliver's book, but this insight to the wedding? Oh, I had to read it. I have loved all of this author's books so far, and this one does not let me down.
Since the group had rounded up all the vampires who were addicted to the special blood of the Chinese girls, everyone was under the belief that that threat was behind them. Oliver has enough to worry about with Ursula's parents coming to stay at his house. How he was going to pull this wedding off without them realizing he and his friends are vampires? Or that his "parents" look only a couple years older than him.

Review-Lawful Lover by Tina Folsom

He made her feel electric. Like volts of energy fizzled through her veins, racing, constantly stimulating. It was intoxicating and thrilling. And for the first time in her life, she felt trulyalive.

Luke Branford.

Notorious womanizer.

Shameless flirt.

Heir to his family’s multi-million dollar business.

His motto? No love, no relationships. Just pure, carnal sex…no strings-attached.

When prim and efficient Kate Kennedy is hired on as Luke's temporary assistant, her no-nonsense attitude and blatant dismissal of his advances sparks a challenge he simply can’t resist. But Luke has demons of his own and a tragedy that happened years ago continues to haunt him. Once lines are crossed and rules are broken, will past secrets keep them apart…or bind them closer together?

I loved Lawful Escort, and I wondered where the story would go to in this book. I was not disappointed at all. This is a wonderful read full of all the things that make this author's books such great reads. Tina Folsom is such a great story teller, I look forward to everything she writes.
In this book, Sabrina has moved from San Francisco to New York to live with Daniel. She has the vision of it being just like their time together was in San Francisco. But Daniel is still the workaholic he has always been. He knows he needs to change it, but if he will is the question. Sabrina is feeling alone and needs to work, so she is prepping for the BAR exam and looking forward to working again. Sabrina is in love with Daniel and she thinks he feels the same way still, but she has her doubts. The evil and easily hate-able Audrey comes popping right back in, trying to destroy Sabrina and steal back Daniel. When she does something to help her dream, can Daniel keep Sabrina from running back to San Francisco? Will Daniels friends try to take Sabrina from him? This book has all the great twists like the first book and it is a great read. If you loved the first book, you will enjoy this one too! I
I can't wait to read what happens in the next book in the series!

Review-The Researchers Series (Werewolf Paranormal Romance) Box Set by Sarah Cameron

 The Bavarian Alpha

Catherine "Cate" Davis is a animal researcher that goes to study the wolf population in the UK. There she stumbles into a whole pack of wolves that seem to have no tail. She thinks the reason is a congenital vertebral anomaly, but the sheer number of wolves she finds with the same 'affliction' leaves her intrigued.

She takes her team of two (her partner, Samuel "Sam" Martin, and her assistant, Lisa James) and they go on-field, noticing that the wolves stay hidden behind bushes and that their eyes glow. They seem more intelligent than other wolves she had studied, and not at all concerned with their Land Rover or their presence.

Together, they discover an old castle with the surrounding area filled with homes. There they find a tribe of sorts, with people wearing pelts on their shoulders and moving with predatory efficiency. They learn that these people are werewolves, able to turn into wolves at will and once a month turning into a hybrid form, when they are able to procreate with their mates. Werewolves who do not find their mate cannot have offspring.

King Vereticus has a habit of killing or turning every newcomer, in order to prevent the discovery of their pack from the outside world. Upon the arrival of the three, however, Gwenn, his daughter, "claims" Sam as her mate, which makes Vereticus decide to turn all three.

20,000 word Novella

The Triumph of Samuel

The full moon was bright on the dark sky, its presence an ominous warning. There was no cloud to hide its brilliance, to lessen the impact on its faithful servants. For the creatures of the moon had been subjected to its influence for centuries. Wales was not the only place where a community of people that once a month were more animal than human existed, but it was the only place where such a community had maintained the lifestyle of the Middle Ages. Their leader, King Vereticus, was the first of them to receive the curse – as some viewed it – or the blessing of being a werewolf. As punishment he had been turned by St. Patrick into a creature that could turn into a wolf by choice, and once a month into a monster with no control over the shift unless finding a mate. For centuries he had increased his pack by turning those who discovered the castle into fellow werewolves, teaching them the ways of the Welsh Pack, and welcoming them into a thriving community of people who were both human and wolf, and who once a month turned into hybrids of great physical strength and superior instincts...

Love by Design

"Lisa realized at that moment that she burned to be his. She already felt his, even though it sounded insane. She felt owned by his kiss, by his touch. The way he held her felt territorial – not at all the way an unattached male would hold her if she flung herself at him, and his passionate lips on hers confirmed that they had strong chemistry burning like hot coals.

Her friends' theories about her sensitivity to others' feelings came to mind and she wondered if part of what she was feeling came from Karl. She had no idea, but it didn't matter. As long as it felt as intense, as real, she couldn't give it up.

Hi, I'm an author from Melbourne Australia and I enjoy writing all things romance... My current focus is Werewolf Paranormal Romance :)

This box set is a great lighter read. I enjoyed it, as I love paranormal books. This was an interesting take on the werewolf tale. It is a quick read, but worth getting.  In these tales, three animal researchers, Cate, Sam, and Lisa, find themselves studying a wolf that seems intelligent and also has something different about it. It has no tail, and they soon find that none of the wolves they see have them. Little did they know that their worlds were about to be turned upside down. Cate and Sam have worked together for a while. They have brought on a new researcher named Lisa, since their previous partner, Bones, decided to quit going out because he had gotten married. They follow the wolves back toward the woods and then they realize they are turning into humans. The werewolves have leaders over areas, and they all rule differently. The first group sticks to more middle ages type living. They have a king, and he rules strictly. His daughter is taken with Sam. She misinterprets Cate's feelings and this causes trouble. When Sam tried to protect Cate, she suddenly disappears. She ends up with another group. For the wolves, there is one mate for each of them, but they usually never find them. If they do, they will change a human to a werewolf. Each of the researchers finds their lives altered forever after their encounters. Can they learn to accept what is happening? Or will the wolves have to kill them to protect their people? Lisa learns the most about who she is, and maybe able to help more than she ever expected. This series keeps you turning the page so you can find out what is going to happen to each of them. If you love these kinds of stories, grab this set. It is a fun read.

I have to say, I am so glad I found this author. Her books are sexy, stimulating, and take the reader on an incredible journey. In this follow up to Rebel yells, we are taken on a journey the likes of which I don't find very often in a book. This book grabbed me from the beginning, and I could not rest until I got to the end.  Lonnie has been heart broken because the man he was infatuated with had fallen in love with someone else. Lonnie is a slender, beautiful native american who has had a very challenging life. Nothing has come easily for Lonnie. His mother was dead and his father and Uncle Channing were drowning in the same alcohol that had nearly gotten Lonnie killed. He was still struggling with his addiction and he did not know what to do.  Travis has finally accepted that he is gay. He longs to find someone who can love him despite his wealth, and he feels the pull to the BDSM world as a Dom. He has struggled with accepting his new place in the world, and he finds himself drawn to Lonnie, but unsure as how his new found dominance can work in a relationship with Lonnie. After getting thrown out of the BDSM club for a failing attitude, Master Lin urges him to find someone he cares about to explore whether or not he can be trusted in the club. When he comes to care so much about Lonnie, Master Lin begins his training.
Not everyone is accepting of the lifestyle lived by the Sheriff and the Deputy. Roark wants to be the Sheriff, and Travis's father wants to be Councilman so they can railroad through a resort that will destroy the towns atmosphere. How far either one of them will go to reach their goals is anyone's guess, but when push comes to shove, will love be able to conquer the hatred of those things not understood? How hard can these men fight to feel the freedom to live their lives? Can Travis and the town rally against the threats facing them? How far will the bad guys go to achieve their desires? We know Roark is not one of the good guys, but how much evil is lurking under the surface? Where will Lack and Rebel's love take them now that they are moving on with their lives? Can Travis stand up to his powerful dad? All the excitement of Rebel Yells is raised to new heights in this book. Just when I thought I had seen all this story had to offer, a whole new twist was thrown in. Grab your Kleenex again, because this book will take your emotions for a roller coaster ride and back again. I couldn't help but fall in love with these characters. This is a fabulous book and I cannot wait to see what happens next!

Review-Keep Swimming by Kade Boehme

After his partner dumped him with a pregnant surrogate four years ago, Cary Whitmore was forced to play single parent while starting up a new business. With the dog bakery now semi-successful and his son healthy, Cary thinks he may be ready to date again.

Heath Cummings is trying his damnedest to get his charter boat service off the ground and dreams of one day soon being able to quit his job as an offshore driller. Paying off his dream requires making it through a couple more years, which means being open about his sexuality isn't in the cards just yet.

When the two take their flirting to the next level, Cary wonders if he can handle another guy who might take off, while Heath has to decide if he can risk his dream of a laid back life—and giving up his long-held and much enjoyed bachelor status while taking on a child when being a father was never on his to-do list. Will they sink, or will they keep swimming?

Kade Boehme is a southern boy without the charm, but all the sass. Currently residing in Seattle, he lives off of ramen noodles and too much booze.

He is "the epitomy of dorkdom", only watching TV when Rachel Maddow or one of his sports teams is on. (That'd be Orioles, Seahwaks, Ravens, or Gators.) Most of his free time is spent dancing, arguing politics or with his nose in a book. He is also a hardcore Britney Spears fangirl and has an addiction to glitter.  It was after writing a short story about boys who loved each other for a less than reputable adult website that he found his true calling, and hopefully a bit more class.  He hopes to write about all the romance that he personally finds himself allergic to but that others can fall in love with. He maintains that life is real and the stories should be, as well.

This is the first author I turn to when I want to read a complicated, emotional read and this book does not disappoint! This story is so unfailingly honest, it is impossible not to feel for the characters. You cannot help but to care what happens to them and wishing for their happily ever after. I loved this book from page 1.  Cary is a single parent of an adorable toddler named Gus. He had been in a relationship with Marshall and when they decided to have a kid, everything seemed great. That was until Marshall's seed would not work and they had to use Cary's. Marshall left when the weight of not having it be his kid was too much. Cary was jaded, and decided to just raise Gus alone and not look for a relationship.
Heath is a bisexual free spirit who isn't looking for more than a hook up to meet his needs. He had been married very young because his girl had gotten pregnant. When she miscarried, they realized it would not work, and they split up. They made better friends than lovers and all was well. Heath owns a fishing company, and he works on an oil rig so he stays in the closet to protect himself. When the two of them take their flirting to the next step, neither is ready for how it feels and they both make a lot of mistakes. But the final straw is when Heath gets caught in a compromising situation. Can they fight hard enough for each other? Or are they doomed from the get go? Can anything work out with the fact that Cary has a son so he is a package deal? What would you fight for? This book will take your emotions for a ride. Just to warn you, when you get to chapter 14, be sure to grab some Kleenex. You are going to need them. This book is so filled with the raw realities of life, you feel like these characters are friends. Grab this book, it is an incredible read!
