Life has never been easy for Dr. Samantha Malone especially since the day all those years ago that her family was taken in a tragic car accident. Now at almost twenty-nine years old and an aspiring surgeon, she is faced with putting her life back together once again after being kidnapped and left for dead. Had it not been for six feet two inches of walking muscle in ripped jeans and worn cowboy boots with crystal blue eyes and a cheeky grin that made her wonder what he was up to, she might never have seen the light of day. All these months later she knows he protects her from the shadows, never far but never seen. Why? What does he know that she does not?
There are no coincidences.
He protects her, always unseen but never far, making sure the ones that dared to hurt her do not come back while he waits for the time when he can claim her as his own. Fear is not something the fierce Dragon Guardsman is used to feeling but it is something he has become accustomed to over the last seven months. Fear that he will not catch the traitor and his cohorts before they hurt those he cares most deeply for. Fear that he will not be able to protect the one the Universe made especially for him. Fear that he is not what Samantha needs but then…
The Universe does not make mistakes.

Mom of two rockin' girls, Reader of everything, Author of The Dragon Guards series and many more surprises to come!
I am a sarcastic, sometimes foul-mouthed, not afraid to drink a beer, always southern woman with 2 of the most amazing teenage daughters,
a menagerie of animals and a voracious appetite for reading who recently decided to write the storied running through her brain. I read my first book, Dr Suess' Cat in The Hat by myself at 4 and was hooked.
I believe a good book along with shoes, makeup and purses will never let a girl down and that all heroes of all the books
I have ever read or will ever write pale in comparison to my daddy! I am a sucker for a happy ending and love some hot sweaty sex with a healthy dose of romance.
I am still working on my story but believe it will contain all of the above with as much SPICE as I can work into it.

This story continues with the jokester of the Dragon Guard, Lance Kavanaugh (last of the Golden Dragon Clan). He's always giving his Commander Rayne and friend Aiden teasing about their mates. Well now the teasing will be reversed-all aimed at Lance. He met his mate Dr. Samantha Malone 6 months ago after saving her from some evil people and a collapsed building. He's been watching and protecting her ever since without her knowing it.

Dr. Samantha Malone (who Lance nicknames her Doc) is almost finished with her surgical residency and has just finished helping with a surgery on a foster child, Sydney. She becomes very attached to the child as she was also a foster child. Sam's whole family is gone and the wonderful foster mother she had also died after she graduated from high school. She has a hard time letting people get too close because she's afraid of losing anyone else. She has felt someone watching her but knows it's in a good and protective way. She has seen Lance and realizes he's the one that saved her and watching her. She doesn't make things easy for Lance but he doesn't give up easily either. There is also a surprise having to do with Sydney (she's such a cute minx!) We also get to meet a good witch, Kyra St. Croix (there is also a surprise about her too)! There's still the problem of the evil Andrew (former Dragon Guard and into black magic). Will things work out for these two - you'll have to read it for yourself to find out.

There is plenty of hot and sexy romance, action, drama, magic and some good laughs. I just love this series and each book seems to get better. I highly recommend this book especially if you love Dragons!
