Eddie Neff needs space. Not the type that country stars croon about, but physical distance from her emotionally distant father and the tatters of a broken relationship. So when the opportunity to relocate her life and interior design business arises, the answer comes easily.
Adjusting to life with Claire, her gregarious new roommate, is more than simply testing comfort limits. With just one meeting, Eddie finds herself unable to resist the draw of Harris Grant, Claire’s brooding and overprotective older brother.

Harris doesn’t fit her idea of a safe relationship. He pushes Eddie to face her deepest insecurities and fears of abandonment. And Harris holds on to his own painful loss, unable to overcome personal demons.
Eddie and Harris must learn to conquer their internal struggles. But as they navigate their new love, outside forces fight to drive them apart.

In Pursuit is about a girl named Eddie or Edith. She has left the comfort of her home near Washington DC to get a bit of a fresh start. She finds a place to live through a mutual friend of her best friend, and she relocates to Chicago. After a rough failed relationship that ended badly she just wants to get a new start in a new city. She moves in with Claire a somewhat moody party girl. Eddie is a little unsure of things with her and then she meets Claire's brother Harris.

Harris is a broody brother to Claire. He is a protector and at times overbearing. He gives off lots of mixed signals and she can't decide if it's up or down with him. Then one night something happens and things change between them.

Things are intense from the very beginning between her and Harris. They meet under what wasn't the best of circumstances and she feels the pull even then. They give each other mixed signals through the whole until eventually it all comes to a head. Eventually things explode and it is intense and great and sad all at the same time.

Claire is somewhat of an unlikable character that doesn't have many redeeming qualities as far as I am concerned. I am hoping in the next book she can either redeem herself a little or at least gets what's coming to her. I am not one for revenge, but I also do not like people are conniving individuals.

This is a really good read and most definitely worth a read.
