Book Title – Out Of The Box Awakening Author – Jennifer Theriot Publisher - Self ISBN/ASIN - B00CNX3MU2 Genre – Romance, Contemporary Olivia is a good woman, a good mother, a good wife. She’s got it made. She doesn’t want anything to change. Of course, it does... Swept from her perfect paper-doll life in Houston, Olivia finds herself in Chicago, alone, betrayed, and far from home. Soon everything she thought she knew about herself and her life will be challenged. She has only courage, love, and her passion for music to carry her through the maelstrom—or draw her further in. Ash is the man who has everything—everything except healing from the losses of a lifetime. His only peace lies in the sweet flow of music pouring from his guitar. What happens when the married woman and the handsome widower are thrown together by fate? Out of the Box Awakening is a story of shared passion and shared joy. Jennifer Theriot has written a compelling book about what happens when two people find new life and new love for themselves and for those around them. |
Out of the Box by Jennifer Theriot was not what I was expecting. It is very rate that you will see an author write about an older couple. I find this very heartwarming because let’s face it, we cannot all be 20. I have to say that while Ash and Olivia are the main characters, Todd (Bert) is my favorite. His personality just cracks me up. We could all only wish that we could find a man like Ash. I think I could see things were wrong when Olivia’s husband did not meet her at the airport after having been transferred to a different state and leaving her to pack up the house. This leaves Ash to take care of Olivia while Alan is doing his thing (supposedly work). You can almost feel the sparks from the moment they lay eyes on each other. I am not going to give the story away, but there are ups and downs and laughs in between. This story will show you how you can turn something bad into something awesome. The strength that Olivia shows is all that everyone should achieve for. What makes it so great is that she is totally unaware of her inner strength. I give this book 5 stars. I could not put it down. The secondary characters catch your attention just as much as the main characters. You will feel like you are reading about an actual family and your heart will go out to them. |
