Aidan has always played it safe. Instead of pursuing his dream of creating innovative music that makes his soul sing, he settled for a degree in software, a job in a cubicle, and a spot in a generic band with his buddies.

And he's always been straight. But when he's seduced by magnetic local literary luminary Dario, Aidan must decide whether to keep playing it safe, or succumb to a ravenous passion and a nourishing love unlike anything he's experienced before. Will he find the courage to go after real happiness if it means admitting he's in love with a man?

Their journey together isn't easy. Sometimes it isn't safe. Even if Aidan has the courage to admit he's in love with Dario, can he endure the repercussions of the traumatic event in Dario's past?

I hadn't read anything from Varian Krylov, so I had no idea what I was in store for when I started this book. I was overwhelmed by the emotions I felt while reading this story. It is a beautiful, raw, heart wrenching tale of love. You cannot help but fall in love with these two sensual men. Aiden's journey to self discovery and Dario's multifaceted persona grab you from page 1 and hang on to you until the last page. This is a full novel, but I did not put the book down. I read it in one sitting because I was unable to walk away, dying to know what happened next. If you love m/m romance, this is definitely a book to read.

Aiden is a musician by night, and a regular office guy by day. With a degree in software, which he did to please his father, he works in an office, droning on to pay the bills. After hours, he is in a band, Babel, which plays gigs at Dario's loft by night. He is feeling like he is just going through the motions of life. Dario is a writer who has an incredible warehouse like loft, and he lets bands rehearse and play for the masses in his home. He is friendly with everyone but Aiden. He is a very beautiful gay man, and he is very comfortable with who he is.

Aiden has broken up with his girlfriend, and he enjoys playing at the loft, but he wonders why it seems that Dario is outgoing with everyone but him. One day, Aiden shows up to rehearse with his band only to find out it was canceled. He decides to stay for a beer with Dario, trying to find out why he is cold to him. After reading one of Darios erotic short stories, Aiden is surprised to be turned on by it. Dario touches him softly, and Aiden reacts to him. Afterwards, Aiden is freaked out by his reaction. Dario makes him feel alive. He brings life to Aiden's dull world, and makes him want to stretch his wings. Aiden cannot deny his attraction to Dario, but he feels inadequate. He is terrified by his feelings and does not want to hurt Dario. Dario has his own demons, but he has wanted Aiden since he saw him years ago. After an incident, Dario can't trust Aiden, and this is the beginning of the journey they both travel to explore what is between them. The twists and turns of this story will have you gripping the page, dying to see where the story goes. Can Aiden accept that he might be bisexual? Can he trust Dario enough to let go of his jealousy? Can Dario forgive Aiden and learn to live? With the suspense of trouble in the loft from someone wishing harm, the epic journey these two men travel, this book has everything I want in a story and more! I cannot say enough good things about this book. It is just....beautiful. This book is absolutely a 5 star read!
