One boy. Mother calls him Hansel.
One girl. Mother named her Gretel.
Locked in little rooms, in the mountainside mansion of a crazy woman.
Until he saws a hole into the wall dividing them.
Then at least, they have each other’s hands.
It doesn’t end well at Mother’s house.
Everything gets…broken.
Ten years later, they meet again in an exclusive Vegas sex club.
Whips.
Chains.
And most of all, a mask.
What happens to love when it gets twisted?
Fairy tales are cautionary tales, remember?

I really enjoy Ella James's fairy tale stories. She has weaved her tales in a way that draws you in and makes you want more. They are just long enough to draw you in and just short enough to leave you wanting more. She has accomplished this successfully with the 2 tales that I have read so far. I am looking forward to reading the rest of this series.
There is some steam and heat, but not a lot just yet. I have a feeling the rest of the series will deliver though.
Leah/Gretel is kidnapped and held captive in a room next to a boy for what sounds like at least a year. The woman that has kidnapped her is known as "Mother Goose". It is mentioned in the book that she has kidnapped several other characters from different fairy tales like Snow White, Hansel for which she is the Gretel for, Sleeping Beauty, and so on.
Gretel and Hansel share a wall and so therefore develop somewhat of a close relationship through comforting each other through the wall with touches, singing, and story telling. Eventually "Mother" is killed and they are returned to their families if they have them. Until years down the road by chance they meet again.
This is the story of their meeting and well worth a read.
